Delivering goodwill messages on behalf of the Ministry and the Kaduna State Government, the Honourable Commissioner emphasized the critical role of water in climate action, food production, and energy security, noting that sustainable and collective water management is essential to addressing today’s environmental challenges.

He highlighted Kaduna State’s proactive approach under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, with the recent deployment of Swamp Buggy machines across major rivers and wetlands to desilt channels, clear invasive aquatic vegetation, restore riverbanks, and improve water flow, measures aimed at reducing flooding and protecting communities, farmlands, and infrastructure.

The Ministry commended the National Water Resources Institute for organizing the conference and providing a platform for collaboration among researchers, policymakers, and practitioners, while encouraging participants to translate knowledge into practical, impactful solutions for enhanced water security and climate resilience across Nigeria.
