The Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Alhaji Abubakar Buba, has commended and warmly acknowledged the unwavering commitment of His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna State, as the state prepares for the official launch of Operation Tsafta, a landmark environmental sanitation initiative set to redefine cleanliness across the Kaduna Metropolis.
According to the Honourable Commissioner, the launch of Operation Tsafta is yet another clear demonstration of Governor Uba Sani’s people centered leadership and his deep understanding of the link between a clean environment, public health, and sustainable development. He described the initiative as a bold and timely intervention that aligns perfectly with the Governor’s broader vision of building a cleaner, safer, and healthier Kaduna State.
He noted that Operation Tsafta, championed by the Ministry for Local Government Affairs in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, goes beyond routine sanitation exercises. The initiative places strong emphasis on intensive refuse clearing, the promotion of proper hygiene standards, and the restoration of environmental order within the metropolis.
He further highlighted that the programme reflects the Governor’s holistic approach to governance, as it not only addresses environmental challenges but also contributes meaningfully to poverty reduction and job creation, by engaging local manpower and creating employment opportunities for residents across the state.
The Honourable Commissioner reaffirmed the Ministry’s total commitment to supporting the Governor’s environmental reform agenda, stressing that under the visionary leadership of Senator Uba Sani, Kaduna State is steadily setting new standards in environmental responsibility and urban cleanliness.
He called on residents of the Kaduna Metropolis to embrace Operation Tsafta as a collective responsibility, noting that the success of the initiative depends on public cooperation and shared ownership of the Governor’s vision for a cleaner Kaduna.
