Earlier yesterday, the Ministry of Environment & Natural Resources proudly participated in the 1st Annual International Hybrid Conference 2025, organised by the Center for Energy and Environmental Strategy & Research (CEESR), Kaduna State University (KASU).
The Honourable Commissioner, Alhaji Abubakar Buba, was ably represented by his Special Assistant, Abubakar Ali, at this high level gathering which convened scholars, environmental experts, policymakers, and international stakeholders.
The Ministry’s participation aligns with the visionary leadership and sustainability agenda of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, whose administration continues to champion policies that promote environmental resilience, green innovation, and energy transition across the state.
The conference centred on the theme:
“Resilient Green Energy Resources: A Solution to Nigeria’s Energy and Environmental Crisis.”
During the event, the representative of the Honourable Commissioner delivered a well received goodwill message reaffirming the Ministry’s dedication to research driven environmental solutions, sustainable energy advancement, and strengthened collaboration with CEESR and other strategic institutions.
A major highlight of the programme was the presentation of an Award of Excellence to the Honourable Commissioner, recognising his remarkable contributions to environmental development and his support for academic led sustainability initiatives. The Ministry extends its profound appreciation to CEESR and KASU leadership for this honour.
The conference further opened new pathways for partnership in renewable energy research, climate adaptation, waste to energy innovation, and institutional capacity development areas where the Ministry is keen on driving impactful progress under the policy direction of His Excellency.
The Ministry remains committed to deepening partnerships that promote environmental governance and advance a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Kaduna State.
